Building Plans at Giffard Drive Surgery
Giffard Drive Surgery has been looking to expand its premises for more than 15 years and will be applying for Planning Permission to do so in the near future. As you may be aware, the current size of the surgery gives us around half the floor area that a practice with a similar number of patients should have.
The Surgery did have plans for a similar scheme involving extending the surgery building across the site of No. 70 Giffard Drive. This Scheme had full planning permission in 2004, which lapsed because of changes in NHS funding policies.
This Scheme is fully supported by the North East Hampshire and Farnham Clinical Commissioning Group (NEHFCCG) and NHS England. It should give the surgery 7 more consulting rooms and an improved waiting area for the benefit of the local community.
